A stupid question about Repetendum
Geplaatst: 11 sep 2014, 14:55
Hello, forum.
I'm new. On the boards and in the newly-found interest in math, for that matter. So I beg your patience and indulgence.
What I'm going to ask is probably a common sense thing for you.
I've picked up a random math book that seemed interestign at the library and currently I'm at the "Eindige en oneindige decimale breuken" chapter.
The authors explain why the 2/7 breuk = 0,285714285714285714... etc. The repetendum here contains 6 figures.
And here they explain how we find that out:
But what bothers me is:
Can someone explain it to me please?
Sorry for a stupid question again.
Also, I understand Dutch, so feel free to answer in Dutch. I just don't speak it well enought to ask questions in it. Yet.
